Wellp, I am, and if they added combat, they should at least make it interesting, what was the point of even implementing it? Currently it’s just an annoyance.
I’m an anarchocommunist, all states are evil.
Your local herpetology guy.
Feel free to AMA about picking a pet/reptiles in general, I have a lot of recommendations for that!

When they add diverse, interesting, challenging combat, I’ll try it again.
no, you uninstall with the package manager/app store, however, that directory is where your config files are kept, and those are not removed when you uninstall the app.
What compositor are you using? Have you submitted a bug report?

apparently it should be solved by moving to gtk4, and is actually a gtk3 bug, not a wayland one.
Not enabled by default for good reasons.
Nvidia should be good now actually!
Such as?
2025 Year of the Linux Desktop.
Not so fast, we still need a complete accessibility protocol on wayland, and wine/proton need to be running wayland natively.
Then we’ve really won.
(also we need to get enough users that anticheating linux stops)
so, i don’t think it’d matter if it were true, and it’s also false.
I’m still waiting for this: https://gitlab.winehq.org/wine/wine/-/merge_requests/6025
I believe that’ll make it so that windows actually use my SSD’s instead of CSD’s, i’m on hyprland and the double bordering is super annoying.
Wayland is essentially finally done, all the time and effort spent on the great transition will be remembered.
Now we move forward, past what x11 could ever do, and onto greatness. It only took like 17 years.
edit: I guess there’s still accessibility work to be done, though.
Should be wayland by default, finally.
The wayland transition is almost over. JFC it took forever.
All that’s left is steam itself, wine/proton, and i’d say we’re basically done.
Containers are good for a number of reasons, and definitely will not and should not be going away, instead use one of these tools to bypass it:
Yes, but it’s a hack, when it’s properly implemented you won’t need gamescope and it won’t have to be fullscreen as far as i’m aware, although i could be wrong about the fullscreen thing.
It’ll be more performant, lower latency, have proper HDR support (current method is a hack), scale properly based on your displays, and probably be generally less buggy long-term (probably more buggy when it first gets added since it’s a pretty fundamental change).
You’re currently using a compatibility layer called xwayland to run it, which adds a ton of cruft.
I’m unfamiliar with stardew valley, but in my eyes there’s no point in including a combat system at all when it is as shallow as no man’s skies.
Interesting combat and pvp in such an amazing world to explore would make for an absolutely fantastic game, don’t get me wrong, the exploration is great, but why not flesh out the combat at this point? they’ve done so much, at this point it seems like a wasted opportunity.
