81·8 days agoTransphobia is now what antisemitism was during the Holocaust.
This framing of trans rights being pulverized as an edge-case moral purity signaling is low-key genocide enabler discourse.
It is only a matter to be careful to set boundaries to the centrism so that it doesn’t bleed over to the nazi side.
That being said, weaponized purity in online politics, and online software politics specifically might be a problem, sometimes. Minimal gain and huge inconvenience to the resistance, but I won’t go into it right now.
It is stupid that she specifies the ambulance as transgender. You don’t need to be transgender to have pronouns.

That’s why cash in the mail is still an option (with some VPNs for example). No wonder the EU is cracking down on cash payments above a certain limit.
virtual card. That card protects my identity from the vendor, but NOT from the company that issued me the card. They know who i am IRL, real name, real addr, etc.
They do require a ton of sensitive data to issue these cards. I don’t know if they are themselves to be trusted. Probably members of the same surveillance network with banks, so this is perhaps more of a placebo effect. The men in black will still know what you do with your money.
Same goes with crypto. So there is no point really. The invasion of our privacy is not a matter of individual consumption choices, but a systemic issue. No matter my privacy beliefs, I choose to do a number of things normally, because doing otherwise can come off as very malicious to banks and other institutions.

Interesting.
in so much less time, Matrix has just got better.
AFAIK Matrix still has the same decryption issues. I won’t go into all of its other criticism (unless the thread goes that way).
But I have observed that Movim for instance has matured a lot over the past year. It now has communities and has added many other user experience features.
I think that there is no way to tell between legit privacy-conscious folk and bad actors. I am also pissed about it, but from a server’s perspective there is no difference between us and malicious users.
I don’t think the creators themselves can receive money privately either. This also is a privacy risk, and a broader risk of doxing or extortion if they make “undesired” content.
But there is no way to receive money anonymously that it isn’t “technically money laundering”. That’s my 2 cents.
Anything having to do with money is heavily surveilled. And for some good reasons, in my opinion, although this is probably gonna be downvoted.
If you could donate money anonymously, then swarms of bad actors could launder money this way. No good options there, I am afraid.
Perhaps the creators could be more sensitive to this side of things, by offering more private ways to donate money, like cash or prepaid cards.

Anything But Metric@discuss.tchncs.de•1.0 gofuckyourselfEnglish
12·16 days agohow many kiloseconds are in a day and megaseconds in a year
I hope you are joking, because this is the kind of calculations that metric makes appealing, because they are no different than how many seconds are in 3 or 24 hours. If you are not joking, then you have to rethink your education, no offense intended. Here: 246060/1000 = 86.4 ks in a day, and approximately 365.25 times this number over 1000 is 31.5576 Ms in a year. Some, you know, elementary school shit.
Seriously, one could say that, specifically regarding time, base 60 is more practical for everyday use. It is easily divisible with common fractions of time, like 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 1/5 of 60 are all meaningful fractions of an hour (30, 20, 15).
On top of that, time is one domain of everyday life that humanity is constrained by random, global constants, like earth’s rotation and the (approximately) 24-hour day cycle. Earth as part of the planetary system is not a human construct and thus it can’t be made to taste, using any system. (But roads, ships, boxes, and bottles can.)
Having shortcut names for common subdivisions of anything is not an argument in itself. In fact this is a combination of fallacies. 1. Proponents of the metric system prefer its far-reaching consistency (base-10 for measuring most things, and at any scale however large or small; the original reason your argument is fallacious). Imperial has arbitrary bases for different things.
- Citing “megaseconds” and the like is just whataboutism. There are microseconds and milliseconds in common use, as a counter, as well as hectoseconds and other divisions in use, depending on application. Your computer does not count years, days, hours or minutes, it calculates them to make its internal time representation more user friendly.
In fact, the imperial system’s cultural ramifications are way more important than the choice of system. If the US wasn’t deeply a backwards international pariah run by homeschooled cultist criminals with zero critical thinking skills, as demonstrated above, it would have adopted metric at least partially, like all industrialized nations. It correlates fully with its 1st and 2nd Amendment conundrums (its inability to interpret the constitution beyond face value, and thus be unable to ban hate speech and selling battlefield weaponry in grocery stores), and it comes as no surprise this fascist takeover is happening right now in the land of weekly mass shootings at schools.
It is like meeting someone for the first time and him quoting Jordan Peterson, US’s imperial system fixation is a red flag for its national character in whole.
The true evangelist agenda: Replace trans women with Claude.

Yes. Trans or not, you must be not listening to your own words, thinking that the Holocaust started in 1941, not in the vilification and anti-Jewish legislation during the Nazi dictatorship. And this is a successful strategy for current genociders, having an outrageous, colossal example of industrialized terror to terminate thought.
Your argument is like, “can you really call anything murder when Dahmer ate so many people? Just killing somebody can’t be murder in comparison”. No, it is not a relative quantity, is a yes or no question, based on specific international criteria.
The answer to which is “Yes”. Having numbers of people drawn to suicide because you banned their health care on religious fundamentalist grounds is textbook genocide. The only debate between experts is because trans people are not immediately recognized as an ethnic or religious group. (But, well, the reasoning of a hate crime is a burden of the perpetrator, isn’t it? They’re killing us for religious reasons, so in my opinion this is not even a debate.)
BTW, it is the same state-actors pushing both genocides, so your whataboutism comes home to bite you. You are either able to see through the lying teeth of genocide criminals, or you believe what other people want you to think.
