No, there are bins at most train stations too small to have full-time cleaners you hand rubbish to, but they’re see-through so anything suspicious is seen and reported to “see it say it sorted”.

I rarely fly and don’t use Telegram (is that the one controlled by a Russian emigre?) but I love the idea of something like this for a platform I use (fedi, xmpp, nextcloud, even email) that let me easily define scrapers for things like high speed trains and hotels.
In general, I agree, service frequency & reliability are critical, but I just want to push back on the idea you would have been “better off driving”. For starters, you would have lost the reading or chatting time on the train to having to work driving, plus the extra time and money on parking, fuel and maybe tolls. Maybe your time is so valuable that you have no slack or downtime otherwise in your day and doing that work is worth it to save some, but often it’s just a case of dealing with the unpredictability and having spare time near a station instead of elsewhere. And of course, all it takes is another driver to crash ahead of you and you can be sat there hours while they rescue the victims, recover the vehicle and clear the queues.
It’s still better if the train service is reliable and has enough capacity, of course!

We have something similar for lorry drivers in at least some English cities, called “changing places”. I don’t remember if all licensed lorry drivers have to do it yet, or only those needing a higher qualification like FORS.

Government policy for years at many levels, under most parties, is to move more people by mass transport and fewer by low-occupancy cars, and they’re never going to achieve that by prioritising regular users over attracting new users like this.
