I’d recommend turning off motion blur/chromatic aberration/depth of field before you start so the image is much clearer. Also if you’re going to use FSR upscaling be sure to disable “The game’s own anti-aliasing” since that can mess with the image.

Aside from that, it should just work. Good luck!

I’m playing the Linux version, it works great. I got all the way to Vicar Amelia with almost no issues (only one crash, and some cape physics are laggy).

That said the recompilation Github repos are totally legal because they don’t share any of the game data. You need to dump the game yourself to play it, so legally they’re kinda similar to emulators.

Feels really good to be back, it’s almost been 10 years since I played BB!

  • ???

I can understand decomp.dev shutting down because it was mainly a tool to motivate the community, but decomp.wtf shutting down sounds silly. I find it hard to believe that someone made a tool for AI agents and then say “I didn’t realize some people don’t like AI”. Why would he even make it if he’s going to shut it down in a few days and be upset that people were using it? The original description straight up told people to use it to finish other people’s public decomps, so it’s not like he was considerate and careful about how the project was used until now.

  • So what? Why are you acting like it’s a great scam or grand conspiracy? It is the web game - now on Steam. It wasn’t advertised as anything more than just a version of the web game you can play for a few dollars. Are you upset it’s bundling Electron instead of the game being re-written in Assembly for maximum optimization? It’s a very simple game that runs on everything. But thanks for the cynical breakdown of the technology used, I guess.
