Yeah, everyone knows it’s called the Pocket Monsters Mart.
From a game dev perspective, I can see why they did it, but from a storytelling/worldbuilding perspective, it feels as barren as the amount of NPCs in eah of the areas in Sca/Vio.

human hospitals also have stores in them like gift shops, but also my local hospital has a pharmacy and a food court with franchises including subway, ginos pizza, freshii. i can’t speak for US hospitals as i am Canadian where we have better healthcare than the US.
I like how Coromon handles it, where its version of PokeCenters have a vending machine in them for a small variety of basic supplies
