I remember my math teacher leaving a remark under my test that read “Your chaotic and unorganized way of working is not to your benefit.”

I’m 31 with no friends and worked a shitty retail job for 11 years (I don’t anymore cause the place shut down so now I work at a slaughterhouse). I have never once missed school. You couldn’t pay me to go back there.

I’m just saying, in school you still had your whole life ahead of you, including your 20s

Everything was fun and exciting. The consequences of forgetting stuff or messing up weren’t as bad. You weren’t forced to work with anyone. Making friends was much easier. There were clubs and activities

Dunno man, I don’t want to be contrariant, but it just sounds like you were privileged enough to think that way now.

I was poor, I didn’t really get to go clubs or extra activities besides classes, neither did I made any lasting friendships.

Now I’m in my 30s and I’m living my best life. I have a job I can enjoy, enough money and a loving partner. Never have I thought that it would be nice to go back to school. Hell, I haven’t had contact with anyone from school since it ended.
I do have some fond and grateful memories of some teachers. I think about them from time to time, but I don’t really miss any of it.
Also, I’m from a country that has decent enough public school system.

I could say the same for your point, since you clearly have the freedom to work at a job that you enjoy

It’s all relative to how privileged you were in school vs how privileged you are in your job market

Lol, once had a teacher look over my shoulder at my exam and sit down and try to help me. Then the following lecture have him declare to the class that he was frustrated that “one student” couldn’t even yada yada.

MAYBE the teacher had been getting more and more unsure of themself as they walked around realizing everyone else was doing it wrong, until they got to you who had read it correctly and gotten the right answer, using the correct method. So they now knew their exam was written fine but the others had made wrong assumptions instead of reading carefully.

    I did say maybe.
