If you never leave the bathtub, then you become a soup. Once you leave the tub, what’s left is a broth.
Strange thought: to become a writer, one only needs to… well, write! What is stopping people from writing? Who cares if the story is bad, if it never goes published (99% never do), if it never becomes known (99% never do, again), if no one besides the writer ever reads the story?
Does not matter. If you want to write, write. Write ten minutes a day, while you’re #2. Instead of doom scrolling. Instead of drinking a second beer, eating another tub of icecream, demolish another serving of junk food. Instead of whatever. Pick your poinson.
If you want to, just write.
