Saul, who was MOST DEFINITELY NOT a disciple, should have been assigned the duty of caring for the left behind loved ones of the people he had murdered, in order to begin to atone for his sins. If you think he should be forgiven, then you are being an exemplar of the virtues of Christ, so good on you.
But to become the LEADER of the church, who to this day is seen as a guide for Christian morality, does not somehow seem wrong to you in any way?

We feed the homeless once a month and put a guy up in a hotel over the entire winter because he was living on the street. My priest adopted two kids from abusive homes and raised them as his own. We have a fund specifically for people who call the church in distress due to crisis in housing, food etc.

The problem with “read the Bible yourself” mentality isnt that reading the Bible is bad but if you do it without the necessary accompaniment of church tradition people like you spring up shouting the “truth” while all disagreeing with one another. There are thousands of splintered Protestant denominations not including street corner shouting schizoids like yourself that only have scripture and church history because ancient Christians and the church preserved it for you. Your theology is half-baked bunk you neurotically concocted probably while shouting down a normal person somewhere. Let me guess. NOT the actions YOU PERSONALLY have engaged in
You are convinced that your approach is the correct one, even when it is obviously not working
You could really read the Bible for yourself, and resist what you are being told to think, and see what happens
