Just looking at some pics of Gwendoline Christie in both GoT and Severance and she.is.tall and beautiful and talented.

I would love to see her in many other shows.

Today in the junior class I was observing, the teacher handed out connector pens. Some kids started using them as guns and point them at others. Wouldn’t care but they were distracting each other. So I went around the room and collected the pens, and of course offender numero uno said,

“Whyyyyyyy?! That’s so rude of you!”

These kids just sit there talking or fidgeting the entire time and then when it comes to doing work, they’re clueless. The teacher didn’t do an awful lot of behaviour management because she didn’t want to take time out of the learning for the kids who actually wanted to be there. She also said having a seating plan makes them antagonise you more sometimes.

Ring leader of the disruptive kids was pulled out of class by the teacher. Turns out he forgot to take his ADHD meds today. This is the moment I realised why ADHD was most commonly looked at in boys. Girls tend to be less disruptive.

This has been a stressful week but I’m feeling grateful. Grateful for you lot, grateful for my work team who didn’t blink when I had a minor panic attack today and thought nothing of my spending the meeting sitting on the floor cuddling the office dog so I could stay grounded and regulated and still participate. And having access to an office dog is 👌 There are still good peeps out there.

Checked the leaves I cleaned and the aphids are right back.

    Damn, to get the ladybird eggs plus shipping is $55 ;-;

If my pollinator flowers hadn’t been killed they would have attracted them naturally. I think there’s a few stumpy nasturtiums left that might not have the energy to bloom but wherever else I planted just seems to be weeds.

Aphids are shocking ATM. Anything at all that aphids like is smothered in them. There’s a giant hibiscus near work and it’s covered too.

Someone’s waiting outside for their morning walkies. I’ve had a coffee and I need a poo-poo. This could end badly.

Nothing happened. Not even a fart. Why doesn’t it work on me? I did stay close to home though.

I think it was the popcorn I had last night making me sluggish.

Blurgh, another apartment had their washing machine going on spin cycle at 3:40am. Made our apartment hum and rattle. Then furball decided she wanted food at 6:40am.

thats a punchable offense. Or at least a stern word the next morning. are your switchboards on the outside of your appartments?

Haha, if I could work out the offending apartment I’d certainly be letting them know. Would pay someone to walk past at random hours and call their apartment.

This is my hesitation about ever living in an apartment. I’m a light sleeper and neighbours being noisy through paper thin walls would be a nightmare. I think there’s a desperate need for legislation to set minimum sound proofing standards for apartments. It would make them much more desirable.

A couple of weeks ago I took the plasterboard off a party wall in one of our bedrooms, only to find no sound proofing material in the cavity at all.

The wall was constructed as follows: One layer of 16mm plasterboard (my bedroom wall), then the cavity, then another layer of 16mm plasterboard (their kitchen wall).

I put Earthwool soundshield batts in the cavity and sealed it all back up.

I haven’t heard anything from next door since.

I’m going to glue a layer of 6mm cork over that.

I guess I’m “lucky” that I’m an owner occupier and can do work like that.

But I have no idea on how to deal with the washing machine, it’s coming from somewhere else but I couldn’t identify the apartment (could be from anywhere).

        Damn straight.

Apartments are really difficult to live in at times. Unless you’re lucky enough to live in an older place that’s well sound proofed.

My manager organised some TV commercials then buggered off overseas this week so myself and the other person in my team have to figure out how we want 3 ads to look with no background and no assets
