You mean firing everyone in power, repealing Citizens United and blocking corporate money from elections, and then electing young leaders who don’t have an ulterior motive and actually want to drive progress and improve things?

I’d be down with that but good luck actually pulling that off.

I think most of us are trying to avoid a hard reset. That gets messy fast.

Someone did unplug it a few decades ago … no one has bothered to plug it in again … I think they set fire to the plug to make sure no one plugs it in again … ever

They tried this with Texas. It didn’t work, but it made Ted Cruz do away for a while.

Some of us have certainly considered it.

At the rate we are going I’m not entirely sure if we are going for the perky happy beep when a PC posts or … that other longer one you get when you unplug things…

Give it a few months and we can probably settle for a necromancer. And not because congress reminds me of a mausoleum. Although…

One could argue the Republicans are currently unplugging it.

Sadly this was my thought too. When DOGE plugs everything back in, its likely to be paired with AI and big government contracts.

In 1930, the Republican-controlled House of Representatives, in an effort to alleviate the effects of the… Anyone? Anyone?.. the Great Depression, passed the… Anyone? Anyone? The tariff bill? The Hawley-Smoot Tariff Act? Which, anyone? Raised or lowered?.. raised tariffs, in an effort to collect more revenue for the federal government. Did it work? Anyone? Anyone know the effects? It did not work, and the United States sank deeper into the Great Depression.

It is pretty hilarious that he said these lines, played a genius in TV and movies for decades, then became a conservative nut job.

We could just pull one specific plug and leave it on the floor.
