Did anyone honestly believe the Saudis would allow any game with LGBT characters to continue? If that was you, I want to introduce you to my good friend the Nigerian prince

The only thing EA makes now is vibe-coded sports titles that prominently feature UAE teams and figures.

    Sul sul!

(anyway The Sims was a microtransaction-fest. I still think the Sims 2 was peak, and anything else has been more content in exchange for slightly worse games.)

Sims 2 was peak, but holy shit could it have used SSD tech back then. 30min± load times once you had all the packs. It was too optimistic about home machines at the time.

I remember when we had it installed on the family PC and it took a significant amount of the 30Gb HDD.

I played a lot of Sims 2 on PS2 as a kid, and I remember playing sims 3 for a bit.

I never played the expansions, and some of those might’ve had some neat new ideas, but the base game was basically the same thing with higher poly/res models and textures.

By Sims 4 I think people would’ve been pleasantly surprised if that’s what they had received instead of the excuse for micro transactions it seems to be outside looking in.

I was told, somehow mimicking reality, it is more expensive to survive in the core game after each new version. So in Sims 4, you either buy several expansions or it will be darn hard having your sims get out of the paycheck to paycheck zone.

Also the entry level stuff was harder to satisfy your sim in comparison (e.g. the entry level bed in Sims 4 recharged less the energy and comfort than in previous versions).

There was this comparison chart in some page but I can’t find it, maybe it was a video…

The gaming industry seems to be imploding intentionally for some reason.

Not saying that is not happening, but EA is not the gaming industry, they are just garbage for the most part.

The obvious answer is that the economy is fucked, everyone is all in on AI, and it’s starting to look a little shaky.

It’s a bad look in general

Wonder what happens to ReSkate… if EA Delists skate will they still be able to pull the files?
