Misinformation is when information is wrong on purpose, to misinform someone.
Disinformation is when information is just wrong, like when someone said something by accident that wasn’t correct.
We made it way too easy for morons to get online. Folks who don’t even know what a “packet” is can livestream their anus on TikTok, and capitalism is fine with that because it’s “monetized”.
No, it is. Because now of the 30 people who believe Acne is the cause of the apocalypse, 10 of them have a special Discord, 5 have TikToks, 5 are “lurking”, and the remaining 10 are staring at walls in psych-wards after they tried to skin their teenaged kids to prevent…I don’t know.

i like it, because it’s kind of ironic. the term used by the us govt is “disinformation”. so calling it the “misinformation age” tracks perfectly.

Misinformation = MIStake or accident
Disinformation = “dissing” of information, or intentionally putting it down/lying about it
