Is there ever a time when Hollywood isn’t desperate these days? It’s the first word that comes to mind to describe it.
I’ve heard a bunch of buzz about the movie, but nothing about the movie itself…

It’s probably to avoid spoilers. I just got out, I thought it was pretty good. The music and soundtrack is amazing and it has one of the better representations of music being our closest connection to magic on screen. The overarching theme is white culture assimilating black culture by the use of vampirism as a metaphor.
Definitely a good watch. Make sure to sit through the end.
Looks great in IMAX.
We have watched it twice, going again next Saturday with a different set of friends.

Music is unbelievable good.
My favorite piece was the one the vampires sang out in the field. It was full of longing and then ecstasy-- excellent juxtapose with the blues with its sorrowful lyrics yet intoxicating rhythms.
Amazing.
