Honestly though, I searched for at least 6 months before my brother in law was like “I might be able to recommend you to a guy I know at a company I used to work at” and within the month I was hired.

I hope I don’t need to go this route. I’m currently looking for a new job, and I barely know anyone who can give me the hook-up.

A lot of it is cyclical, hit it at the right time and they’ll hire any resume that comes across their desk. The other 90% of the time, yeah, get in line behind the guy that knows a guy…

Let me know how that goes.

Is there an Intro to Furry Guide and a FAQ?

Are there classes I can take to get Furry Certified?

Do I need to engage in sexual activity which doesn’t align with my current non-furry orientation?

Furries are typically nonsexual. It’s more often than not just roleplay for autistics.

Source, autistic furry who doesn’t want to fuck in the extremely expensive fursuit

          There’s 2 types of furries:

I paid a ton of money for this fursuit, I don’t want to ruin it by having sex in it!

I paid a ton of money for this fursuit, of course I’m going to use it for sex!

There is a much more common third type of furry: “I want a fursuit soooo bad but I don’t have $10k+ lying around so in the meantime I guess I’ll go to furry conventions and {have sex, just hang out} without one”

I heard of some guy working 20+ years for blizzard because his dad knew someone in the Company. But he doesn’t mention it that often.

I feel like a lot of people involved in the hiring process are incompetent and shouldn’t be there. Like you have HR people who can barely use Word asking if you know Java or JavaScript

Being Allistic means you interview much better. So you are less likely to need an insider connection, like via a furry convention.

Just to be the contrarian: my first job in my current industry was through a recruiter on LinkedIn. It got me an instant 50% salary bump and after a few years and promotions I was making double the previous job.

My second job was… through a recruiter on LinkedIn. It got me an instant 30% salary bump and now after more years and promotions I’m over double the first job.

This in in a country where I had immigrated 10 years prior. For me linkedin is the best social network ever.

paperclip with cat ears taps on your screen

It looks like your only exposure to the furry fandom is watching cringe compilations that zoom in only on the 0.1% worst members of the fandom and sensationalize and distort the facts even about them. You could use some changes to your media diet. Would you like help with that?
