Mine is literally being held together by two rubber bands.
Suggestions for a new one would be most welcome. Though to be clear, I’m not asking for an idealised wallet, I’m asking for the specific one that you have now that has lasted you X years without complaint
The more worn and frayed, the better
Edit: the above image is just a stock google photo
Fold one from paper yourself.
My last wallet was an aluminum cardholder with a strap and it lasted a long time. Of course, it still lasts, though the elastic straps have gotten weaker.
My current wallet is an ultra-slim made out of recycled bicycle innertubes. I expect it to last quite a while.

Would love to see it
I like my Allet Original, which I’ve had for 10 years and is in excellent condition. The price has almost doubled since then, (from $35 to $65), but if I needed a new wallet today, I’d get another one.
Trayvax rocks. Felt stupid spending $65 on a wallet, probably never need another unless I lose it. eBay has some great deals.
Immediately saw a police flag when I opened their site and noped out, seems like an awful American brand
Whatever you go for make sure it blocks rfid to avoid having your cards skimmed
Perhaps more relevant for the vegan crowd, but I bought a cork wallet about two years ago and it still looks basically like new. I bought one that’s dyed black and there’s minor specks where the undyed cork shimmers through, but I could probably just take a sharpie and colour that back in.
I do also have high hopes for it, because I bought a cork belt around the same time and well, normally I’d expect a belt to fall apart roundabout now, whereas this one looks like it could last another two years or more.
Looks fine to me!

Go to your local library and look for whatever “leather working for beginners” book they have and read it. Then go to the local craft store and buy a scrap of leather, and some thread. You can also youtube for how to make a wallet videos. You don’t need many fancy tools use, a fork to mark where the evenly spaced holes should be, then a nail/hammer to punch the holes, and needle will work for sewing (though I’m told a real leather needle is much better and cheap if you buy any tools).
Note that your book will show you lots of fancy patterns you can put on the wallet with expensive tools. It is up to you if that is worth it.
Ridge
Does your area have any craft fairs or farmers markets? I bought mine from a local maker. Not as cheap as China but quality material and cheaper than a US corporation made version. I see them occasionally and they always say hi
sadly none around here
Prior to the US tariff fiasco, I would have easily recommended something from Dango - I absolutely love my T01, which I’ve had now for the better part of a decade and the only way to tell is to compare the rawhide under the band to the rest of the body…
…so while I don’t need a replacement anytime soon, I am also keen to see others recommendations!
I thought mine was bad but holy… that is impressive.
My kids thought it was embarrassing so bought me a cheap carbon fibre card holder (essentially a knock-off Ridge Wallet) and it’s been great no having to deal with a bulky wallet anymore.
(the image thumbnail is just a google image. My current wallet looks much worse)
I’ve hade one of the ridge titanium card wallets for the better part of a decade now. I thought the elastic would have worn out by now but it still isn’t showing any signs of wear.
I’ve been using a Jack Wolfskin Cashbag wallet for the past 5+ years and it’s still in great shape. I bought it since it has an RFID shield against skimming.
Despite the English name it’s a German company if that matters.
No way would I pay full price for it but I got this on sale, does the job no fuss: https://herschelsupplyco.co.uk/shop/wallets/charlie-cardholder-wallet I’m a minimalist where a wallet is concerned though, only carry notes in case of emergency
