Most Western RPG have handsome, rugged characters (think Geralt or Chris Redfield) and JRPG are have unrealistic pretty boys, such as Cloud Strife in FF and Joker in Persona)

Gustave is either. I was a bit disappointed at first but now I am a fan. It’s nice to play as normal persons. (Lune and Maella are however stunning).

All characters are appropriately proportionnal. No tree trunk arms like Chris Redfield or voluptuous like Chun Li in SF.

Thank you Expedition 33 for making it so real. (I have to say the heads are a tiny bit too big but I have a big head too.)

Gustave’s design is basically a pretty boy (Robert Pattinson) with a moustache (rugged). But he gives off the right vibe visually!

The writing and voices done for the characters was exceptional and that’s what makes the biggest impact on me personably. The only gripe I have is that the lip synch for all the characters was like waaay off but that’s forgivable in the context of everything else :>

I don’t know the game but I recognized the screen shot as movie star Robert Pattinson too!

Funny how media can stretch realism to the point that a movie star known for being handsome is considered “normal”.

The characters are modeled to look like their actors, Charlie Cox in the case of Gustave. Though he definitely has a Robert Pattinson look to him.

This game looks cool. I had not noticed what you’re taking about in previews, but I love when media subtly subverts expectations around beauty or how certain characters should look.

Like I love a “weak” chin, but character designers seem allergic to using anything but the idealised western proportions for that part of the head.

Is it a big spoiler, or did you mean to say “protagonist” instead of antagonist?
