The findings were published by Ukraine’s Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) in an analytical report dated October 15. The study examined suspicious activity across Facebook and Telegram between October 6 and 12, identifying two sharp declines that coincided with disruptions at major Russian data centers.

TBH I don’t feel like the ukrainian “anti-propaganada” unit is a reliable source. Also, even if true, this is just about one day in Ukraine.

I wouldn’t consider this headline as being an honest version of “Russian Bot Activity Collapses by 84%”. It’s more like, “Ukrainian Goverment Claims Russian Bots Decreased in Ukraine by 84% for One Day (if true).”

Interesting, without larger date ranges it’s hard to know if it’s coincidental. Why telegram so much also? what do people even do on telegram.

I’m curious why they don’t analyse Twitter, which is what other groups have said wasn’t heavily influenced.

Overall claims by a government agency about how great the government is are a little suspect, but if their data are real it leaves questions like why the people the BBC spoke to directly contradict their findings.
