    • Brush: Grizzly Bay - Chisel & Hound v24 Fanchurian badger
    • Razor: GEM - MMOC (first gen, 1930-1932)
    • Blade: Personna - GEM PTFE (1)
    • Lather: Zingari Man - The Rambler
    • Post Shave: Zingari Man - The Rambler Recovery Splash
    • Post Shave: Stirling - Glacial Unscented Aftershave balm
    • Fragrance: Barrister and Mann - Roam Two EdT

It was a great shave this morning. Everything clicked with the MMOC. The Rambler smelled great and gave an excellent lather. There were just excellent results all around.

    Have a great Saturday y’all!

    • Brush: Zenith 506B MB (27 mm × 51 mm Manchurian badger)
    • Razor: Thiers Issard 14 Médaille d’Or 1921 Exposition d’Algier Acier Spécial (7/8", extra hollow, square point, carbon steel)
    • Lather: Catie’s Bubbles – DFTR
    • Post Shave: Catie’s Bubbles – DFTR
    • Fragrance: Chatillon Lux – Weinstrasse

Yay for DFTR. This scent is a wonderful puzzle to me. It’s fresh and warm and this dissonance is left hanging. The bright green note together with the tobacco reminds me of CGC Armonía, but only as a zeroth-degree approximation. It’s lively like Armonía, but the warm dry woody notes pull the whole thing in a different direction. I can see that it’ll take me a while to figure out this scent, and I’ll enjoy the journey.

Bright green Weinstrasse plays really well with DFTR, and I think I’ll try matching it with Valedictorian next.

    • Brush: Dogwood Handcrafts with Declaration Grooming B10

    • Razor: Koraat 6/8" Full Hollow

    • Lather: Gentleman’s Nod - Tusitala - Soap

    • Aftershave: Gentleman’s Nod - Tusitala - Aftershave

    • Fragrance: Gentleman’s Nod - Tusitala - Parfum Extrait

2 passes. Face lather. Excellent shave.

I really like this scent and enjoyed the trifecta today.

spicy cardamom provides a beautiful richness and complexity. A tangy green peach ensnares the senses, while a beautiful floral combo of Jasmine and Orris add a slightly sweet and musky quality. A bittersweet Saffron and rich rum bring us to to the finish of this journey. Tusitala finishes with rich and natural tobacco leaf and musk combined with the sweetness of tonka and deep woods

  • Nonidi 29 Nivôse an 233 de la Révolution, jour de Mercure

A quick shave, knocking down 3 days of growth. I binned the blade, if it was a straight, it would have needed another hone.

    Have a good night!

    • Brush: Wolf Whiskers – “Gianmaria” w/Maggard 26mm Synthetic
    • Razor: Blackland Era - Level 4 SB
    • Blade: Personna 74 (2)
    • Lather: Chicago Grooming Co. - Caoba - Soap
    • Post Shave: Chicago Grooming Co. - Frankie & Myrna - Aftershave
    • Post Shave: Goodfellow & Co. - Face Lotion - Kelp & Sea Mineral
    • Fragrance: Cross/Cut - Warm Woods - EdT

Pretty great. This blade is so smooth, but yesterday and today I got some weepers. It’s probably just a tad too sharp for my skin when combined with this razor, but man… still super close and comfortable, despite the weepers.

Caoba is down to its last few shaves. I’m looking forward to the kill!
