Another rare soap from a rare soaper, but luckily I have the artisan who made today’s theme soap, so I’m finally up for the four artisan points again, yay! Luckily for everyone else, the soap is scented by Shawn Maher, so it’s almost impossible not to have something that fits for the scenter points. All my software today is scented my Shawn under his Chatillon Lux brand.

I’m not a frequent enough user of Sudsy Soapery’s to have the base dialled in, but the slightly foamy lather I got was perfectly serviceable and the big Dovo is a joy to use.

I was a bit afraid when these scent notes came up because I couldn’t think of any soaps I have that shave 2 or more of them. Turns out I’m just very bad at knowing which scent notes are in my soaps, and I have (at least) Autumn Ash, Samhain, Christmas Eve, and Old Spice that fit the bill. Today I went with three pieces of software that all fit:

I don’t have Night Music, so this is again a day with just the four artisan points. The Reserve base was fantastic, and I enjoyed using it today. I wonder if anyone is tracking the points and number of participants. I’m forbidden as per rule 2, but I’m still curious.

I’m looking forward to seeing a Barrister and Mann parade today, and wish you all a good one.

I did do my first SOTD with Woesteling, a Brut dupe which shares 8 of the 14 scent notes (or one more than necessary) with today’s theme soap, but in the meanwhile, I have pointed out a rules violation which was punished with downvotes for reasons that probably put me in the vicinity of violating rule 1, but gives me one more point. Atlas Shaves is really heating up with an artisan rarely used on this sub and a whopping 14 scent notes. I’m curious to see how many air buds will get burned today. Luckily for the a good portion of the community, The One True Stank® has then covered and lets them live and fight another day.

Today isn’t Tuesday, though, so I’m going in a different direction: Woesteling is a dupe of Brut. They are clear in their copy that “this specific fragrance [Brut] is very popular around the globe, and we hope it will gain a respectable following in our formats; the sheep tallow base [etc]”, so I’m using the scent notes of Brut as published by fragrantica.

I’m back in civilisation after roughing it during the first day of Atlas Shaves with only my emergency travel sample reserve, and it’s good to have the entire den at my disposal again. I’m using AG 1889, a scent that I enjoy, but sparingly because I sometimes get frag tingles from it. Today I didn’t, so I got to enjoy it in my favourite combo with Baccarat Rouge.

@PorkButtsNTaters666@sub.wetshaving.social and his Puma shave today inspired be to fetch my own (smaller) Puma 88. It’s been a great shave, and I’m going to use this razor again tomorrow.
