Disclaimer: Im no Trekkie, I just like the Memes on here.

But id like to have some context. Did the shown person transited to a woman? Or what has happened there?

They are a hybrid being. The symbiote, Dax, transfers to a new host, when the host dies. The new person is a hybrid of both minds, with the memories of the previous hosts.

The previous host, Curzon, could outfight and out drink Klingons. He earned the respect of several. He was also male.

Jadzia, the new host, has a different personality. She is also female.

Basically, she remembers being Curzon, and inherited some of his personality, tastes and mannerisms, but isn’t him anymore.

The Klingon initially thinks of Jadzia as Curzon in a new body. Her correction reminds him that she is a new person that just inherited a lot from Curzon, including their friendship.

Notice how Jadzia also doesn’t get incredibly embarrassed or flies off the handle in offense.

A simple mistake with a simple correction. Everyone respected.

Cannot judge an entire people by one act of one man.

… The rest could be intentionally vulgar bigots.

This isn’t just some Klingon, this is Dahar master Kor, celebrated warrior and long serving military commander. No way he’s alone in his values.

Klingon culture, as a whole, is a mixed bag. In this episode, the other Klingons accepted Jadzia for who she was fairly readily (for 100 year old grouchy violent dudes). Generally, women are valued, although it’s rare a woman is allowed to govern.

Starfleet Academy ofc includes a gay pacifist Klingon, who has had to handle prejudicial behavior in the past if I recall, but in a particular Klingon honor framing rather than outright homophobia.

Theyre open-minded as a rule in some ways, less so in others.

Good replies. Though, the 3 downvotes and no upvotes on that’s confusing me a little. … Is that downvoting to say the contrary, “Can judge an entire people by one act of one man.”?
