Yes as others pointed out, the residential schools etc. The land theft etc etc etc. My grandmother went to “indian school”. Though fortunately not one with the mass graves. But a lot like the catholic schools in many places throughout the US and Mexico. It was largely about indoctrination and cultural erasure. Much like what’s happening to the Uyghurs.
I don’t watch broadcast news any more. But I know it used to be a stream of pretty young white girls going missing. Missing black children would rarely get much coverage. People missing on the reservations…it’s kind of like that pool meme. That doesn’t get covered at all outside the reservation. And it happens quite often. Because there isn’t much opportunity on the reservations. Have to go to the nearby white towns. Where there is often, not always a heavy stigma. And people get “disappeared” with little repercussion. There are parallels with the Uyhgurs there as well. They have very little freedom to travel. Often effectively 2nd class citizens in their own land. As the state decided it wasn’t their land it was “our” land. The state’s land. Pumping it full of ethnic han like so many israli settlers in the west bank. But they gave them jobs and schools they didn’t want. So even stevens. Unrgateful savages am I right?

There was a lot of tension there. And Andrew isn’t a prolific chatterbox himself. Lack of and or bad conversation is why Wayne split to start Mission. If you had an issue, Andy would just as soon as tell you to go fuck yourself as any thing else. Patricia was still with Andy for the spite fueled sisterhood era. To deny Wayne naming rights. Also why Patricia left and got with captain sensible(Dave) iIRC.
Wayne on the other hand seems about as level headed and nice a guy you’ll find. Though if I had to chose between mission and sisters, I would still trend sisters. They just have a raw less produced sound than mission has. Though mission is great too.
