If you don’t think about it very hard, solidarity is basically macro ionization

Intellectual property is a resource. Corporations are in the business of hoarding resources to extort ration at a price. Microsoft doesn’t care about the studios. They care about owning ip.
It sounds like an extremely interesting planet for sure, I hope they point Webb at it to get an atmospheric spectral analysis soon!
That orbit is better described as passing through the habitable zone. How this would affect potential life, I have no clue, but it certainly isn’t a stable orbit in the habitable zone like earth or mars
60 psi is definitely in the “rip your dick off” range
In a general sense, the difference between a regular workplace with a union and a worker co-op is that the company is, in part, managed and/or owned by the workers themselves. There’s varying degrees of this, but the best (and unfortunately least common) co-ops elect their managers. It’s my opinion that electing managers is a crucial part of a worker owned economy, but a union is still needed to represent the workers.
No it’s not, but if you don’t have any it will destroy your life.
The hair gremlins wake us up if they try to pluck our facial hair
with minimal effort
no, none of my action items are minimum effort, sorry. Defending democracy will never be a low strain activity. I’m organizing unions in my workplace by following the disruptive and worker-led Minnesota Model of organizing. We workers make the world go round. As the US labor movement gears up for a genuine general strike in 2028 (yes, we’re following through with Fain’s call to action), we need unions of all stripes to form. Labor unions, tenant unions, debtor unions, etc. Then after forming, we need unprecedented inter-union cooperation. It’s ok to be tired and burnt out. Let yourself recover, and then continue the good fight.
That’s why we as citizens need to organize and stand together in solidarity. Don’t depend on institutions to fight back.
Well there’s always the classics: Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, Utah Phillips, Joe Glazer, Anne Feeney, Joe Hill renditions, Paul Robeson, etc.
Punk music generally has a socialist undertone, but I especially love Rise Against. Some other good bands are Dead Kennedys, NoFX, and Anti-Flag. They’re also actively anti fascist community; Nazi punks fuck off
Thankfully a lot of workers have it in their union contract, so it’s not going away entirely
At the very least, we’re doing our damnedest to fill the ocean with carbonic acid
I hope he’s arrested by the ICC. May he never be capable of leaving his fascist ethnostate ever again.
I hope they come out of this crisis as a class struggle unionist local. It sounds like they’re firmly in business unionism right now.
Tbh I’m tired of the “utopia is actually evil” trope. I like how Earth is presented in trek without many hidden evils. Starfleet has problems and the show explores them (look at the maquis), but they’re authentic to the stated mission of exploring and discovering.
If we’re sticking to the trek universe but using these ideas, they should go to the mirror universe or pre-federation
I prefer the sample platter and have a taste for the week
Not all of them. There were entire segments of the population excluded from the huge amounts of wealth in the years following ww2. The battle for women to enter the workforce in the 60s/70s was primarily a fight for white women, black women were forced to work because of poverty immediately following emancipation and ever since. Not only that, but the intersection of 2 political minorities means that finding work was hard af for them.
Haven’t they ever heard of drug/work balance? Don’t change anything about the drugs, and work will never show up in the den
I find no joy in knowing that victims were convinced that their oppressor would be good for them.
