It’s only a problem if you don’t like having chauvinism and western state propaganda brainworms questioned. As a ND queer communist I have never felt more comfortable and welcome posting than on hexbear. Their mutual aid comm is highly active and an immensely helpful place for many people. It’s an adorable community, they get a bad rap by people that come in arguing in bad faith who then run away to shame the hateful ‘tankies’ on their main instance like this post here.
What? That has nothing at all to do with the reason the domain expired. It has been in a predicament for a while, site admins lost contact with the owner of the domain name. This has been coming for some time.
Hexbear is the only place online I’ve found that I feel most comfortable speaking my mind as a neurodivergent queer communist. People act like hexbear is some harsh authoritarian zone, it just simply doesn’t condone chauvinism, transphobia, or let people post western propaganda without it being questioned. Some people react poorly to the way they are responded to on hexbear when they post some bullshit that we’ve heard and debunked 1000 times already.
What hate comments are you talking about? I legit don’t know what you are talking about and I post there almost exclusively. You say ‘not us’ but what is this post full of attempted shame on hexbear then? Have you seen the hex thread about defederating? The hex users share kindness for dbzer0 users, the reasons for the banning seemed pretty reasonable and consistent with their policies, and they voted against defederating. From my perspective this whole situation seems a bit immature.
Funny, in this ‘drama’ hex voted against defederation and voiced support for dbzer0 users. The bans from hex admins seemed reasonable if you look at the event history.
Which is why hex voted against defederation ahah, hex and dbzer0 users are largely allies from what I’ve seen so it’s kind of funny the admin is banned.
It’s funny, even on the reddit post about it everyone shamed OP saying “are you serious? Spend your money on something worthwhile instead of acting like a toddler.” Hexbears aren’t even trying to bid on it.
