In the linked thread, OP promotes rioting while discouraging voter turnout. My comments agreed with activism like riots, but pointed out that it’s not an either-or thing. You can riot -and- vote; and even if you don’t have it in you to riot, still do vote.

The anti-electoralist position is the somber realization that the State is not controllable from a working class perspective. No amount of working within the system will ever allow us to meaningfully steer the trajectory of the system. Elections are simply ratifications of what the capitalist class has already planned for us. Hence why the Gaza genocide wasn’t on the ballot. Hence why the abolition of ICE wasn’t on the ballot. Hence why police abolition, hell even defunding the police, was not on the ballot.
Like there’s almost no daylight between the Biden admin and Trump 2.0 and you want me to play along like I, as an anarchist, have a stake in the fate of the duopoly. Hell nah. Burn it all to the fucking ground.
