Ulcers in the crease of your mouth - the worst. Almost as bad as ulcers on your inner lip that rub up against your teeth. Time to whip out the ol’ Kenalog again I guess… If they ever come up with a medication to heal mouth ulcers in 24 hours I’d do anything to get it in a heartbeat.

Came home to the ant invasion continuing, but they were better organised this time and gave away their entry point. Suckers. I hope I’ve stopped it this time.

I wonder if the voice activated speakers can record people talking and potentially be used as evidence in court. Like the Amazon and Google ones

I’ll keep my eye out on all the courtroom videos I’ve been watching the last fortnight lol

Mostly it’s a mix of sovcits citing nonsense, DUI/DWI, and breaching bail/probation conditions.

Judge Simpson is my favourite I think, he’s very sassy. His eyerolls give me life

Edit: this is all US stuff of course, I’m never on time or aware enough to tune in on an Aus one, or they’re not uploaded to YouTube. I get my Aus law fix from austlii lol

There’s a podcast I listened to a while back with nonsensical court hearings, maybe that’s the video version?

Or they have lots of nonsensical court stuff

Either way, I will look into those videos.

I did not have Trump commandeering Gaza, kicking out all the Palestinians straight up demanding ethnic cleansing, and then proposing a property development to turn it into a ‘middle eastern riviera’ on my Trump bingo card. I don’t know how my mental health is gonna survive the next four years. I think I need to switch off the news. If ww3 breaks out can someone let me know, so I can go out and stock up on toilet paper. Ta.

Can do. WW3 is not going to happen for some months imo. And when it does it will be in the northern hemisphere. Probably centered on Greenland. Toilet paper supplies should be fine for now.

In fact, Oz might just have lucked out AGAIN. China’s demand for iron/steel will probably drop to zero soon, but re-building Ukraine will pick up the slack and we’ll just sail through the next cataclysm pretty much untouched. All this is subject to further information coming to hand of course. I would worry if I was male and of military draft age. Particularly if potatohead comes to power, cos I don’t think he can resist the temptation to play little tin soldiers.

Potatohead is gonna lead us down the same path that Trump has with the US. I’m so pissed off Dutton is appealing to the “male loneliness epidemic”, as that’s just a sure fire way to lead a bunch of disillusioned men into the far/alt right pipeline, leading to further discrimination of everyone else.

Those types of men just want an easy way to get a hole, maid, and therapist all in one, and Trump and Dutton will ensure they get what they want for the votes.

Every now and then and I let myself think for long enough that I start wondering: is this enough? Am I a total fuck up? just a little bit? does it matter anyway? how could I be better? what if i…? and then my distractions blissfully take over and I forget all that for a few weeks. Ho hum

Well, it’s an essential ingredient in Brunswick Stew, so you’re in the right place for it. I’m told it tastes like chicken, but in my experience it tastes more like fruit bat. Which is delicious. So go for it girl!

One hour on hold to get through to my water provider. The reviews online are hilarious, most of them complaining about hold times and bad customer service. Yet it doesn’t look like anything’s changed to improve that. Just make the customers wait, it’s not like they can change water provider if they’re not happy with the service.

Wow okay that’s stupid af. At the places I worked at if there were people in queue after closing time, we’d close the queue to new calls but have to stay back to clear the people still waiting.

I imagine the water company doesn’t want to pay their staff overtime 🙄🙄

I’ve gone down one clothing size in 3 months, which is not bad, just got so much to go still

so in a way it’s already good, I’m getting new clothes and have a wider choice now

at the same time I’m not so young anymore but fuckin’ hell, I just can’t believe what other women my age wear, those giant abstract shirts or lurid prints.

I put Burnout: Paradise on the boys’ laptop last night and it works like a charm. It was a pirate copy because you can’t by the original anymore. I don’t know how Fitgirl gets away with it because it didn’t just install, it was downloading additional files to complete the installation. Like, from where? Where is she hosting these files and how haven’t they been tracked yet? Amazing work

How is it different to the $6 version on Steam?

I spent my youth pirating every game under the sun, so I can’t really judge you for using a pirated game - but I just pay the $6 these days. Which is how I’ve ended up with hundreds of games I’ve never played. No regrets though - the kids will discover that library soon, and I feel like I need to make it up to game developers a bit for that misspent youth I just mentioned. 😀

This is the original 2008 version you can’t buy anymore, and it’s on an old laptop from like 2012 I put linux mint on.

So I don’t want to go through installing and logging into steam on this laptop when a pair of 2 year olds are going to slap it to death.

The laptop probably couldn’t run the remastered version and I figured the original could be pushing it if I got it working

I’ve been using Fitgirl for ages and had no issue. Do you mean during the actual expansion and installation, or grabbing the microsoft libraries?

During the actual installation, not doing direct x and the redistibutables. It was like she has her own version of steam going on.

I’d trust fitgirl completely anyway and the biggest defence against anything dodgy on this laptop is it’s running linux which is defacto antivirus in itself

I’ve got it on Switch, even there I found it so much fun.

I get a bit of tunnel vision while I’m racing in it. Concentrating so hard on the driving I can barely look at the map during races.

Just driving around in it is so much fun. I found the races could get repetitive since you had those 8 places all races ended at, so they could get samey after a while. But the takedown races were always fun

Home from Seaholme. It has barely changed since last I went a few decades ago. It’s so quiet. It has big skies and quiet streets. It’s a bit out of the way but in regard to transport and access to facilities it’s the same. Carlton is just crappy for everything other than coffee, parks and university.
