Is that a plain hotdog or a Sonoran dog?
Yo what the fuck Buffalo?
Gotta pay for the stadium somehow.
It was only when I went to my city’s minor league baseball game did I “get” going to watch sports. Having gone to a few major league games, I never enjoyed them. Overpriced everything. Dehumanizing security. Seats that are tiny and so far away it makes it hard to actually watch. Getting to and from the stadium is its own ordeal.
Conversely, my local minor league team as a sweet little stadium a block off the bus line. Ample parking if your into that kind of thing. Food trucks out front. Last ticket I bought was 15$. Enthusiastic fans. And the sport being played by two teams filled out with enthusiastic and talented players.
It dawned on me that this was what going to the ballgame was supposed to be like. I’ve since gone back a few times a season and enjoyed it every time.
It really shows how much more fun something can be when it’s for the fans vs just about money.
it should be illegal to price gouge this much. anything over 5 bucks is ridiculous
No.
All of “pro sports” is a money-making scheme. Drop out or pay up.
I was surprised Philly wasn’t higher tbh
I wonder how that compares to the quality of a hot dog at each stadium. I’ve seen some pretty bad ones at the Bengals stadium back when I used to go to the games.
Correlates loosely. From a product standpoint, the Falcon’s hotdog is awful because they want it to be crazy cheap so they will win this comparison every year. Bears is probably the best because they use Vienna.
No idea why Buffalo is so high, but Vegas and the two LA teams are just because the city is expensive.
Actual served quality will vary quite a bit. A lot of basic concessions stands tend to be operated by volunteers fundraising for organizations. You’ll get a soccer team or a sorority operating a stand. Some will do great, some horrible. The other leagues have a lot less of that because more games means more events for people to work. It’s hard to fully staff a football stadium for eight nights a year with real employees.
Whenever this image comes up everyone points out that the raiders price is for the footlong, and they have a regular $4 hot dog
Wonder what a bottle of water is
I feel like the cutoff for good prices is between the Packers and the Panthers
I haven’t been to a Bills game at the new stadium yet, but I am pretty sure the regular Sahlen’s hot dogs are closer to $8, and the $11.25 is for a footlong. Still too much…
