Surprised you waited this long. I left when they decided to get rid of 3rd party apps.

I joined kbin during that exodus, but I follow very niche hobbies and it was a ghost town in lemmyverse then. I come back now and it is really popping off.

I gave up yesterday. I was using boost and it still worked with Reddit after some fiddling. But two days ago domain errors finally stopped boost.

Now I’m here and am learning how bad the censorship has gotten. I knew it wasn’t great but wow.

I’ve been posting lemmy on reddit, and have gotten a few bans for my trouble.

      I welcome the bans.

I’m just going to assume every billionaire pulling this shit for trump has an unfathomably disgusting record in the Epstein files. There’s no way that every single one of them is deciding to be this overtly fucking pathetic.

It is crazy how they all lined up to do this to us in the age where nobody can agree on anything…

I love how Reddit has been supporting the right side of American politics since TD was a thing. Spez is such a pos coward.

If Spez wasn’t taking the Trump Coin to do ideological warfare on his behalf, he’d either be out on his ass or six feet under like Aaron Swartz. Then you’d have another Millennial corporate shit to hate in his stead.

At some point, you can’t hate the player, just the game.

While spez is a musk worshipping bootlicker now, back then he and most of the site were categorically against t_d. Your understanding of that time is pretty off.

    Let me try something:
People, who own over a billion dollars, should be killed, cut apart and their body parts be prepared and eaten.

      No, no.

We have advanced compost and agricultural strategies to employ here.

Let’s compost their bodies, use them to fertilize fruit trees!

Just do a link out to a PNG that says “destroy the rich” and then have the text say “you know what to do…”

Then it won’t get filtered. If you upload a new graphic every few posts and change the text part it’ll be even harder for them to blanket ban your posts.

Same rule would quite honestly improve Lemmy quite a bit.

Not because of political reasons, but because it gets annoying opening any news post, expecting interesting discussion, and getting a bunch of versions of “eAt tHe rIcH” and guillotine comments instead.

    That’s like reddit behavior

We are reddit though just on a different site… lot of people mainly moved because of the api change.

Even someone believing they are “not like other redditors” is one of the most reddit stereotypes. Haha.

Advocate for antivax bullshit that kills people? Sure! Encourage politicians to stop live-saving cancer research, gut the VA, and reduce safety standards that will have more people suffering? Cool beans!

Oh, you don’t like that and want to voice your opinion? GFY

Apparently, writing an inspiring post about taking action and ways to protest was just too much for the delicate sensibilities of the internet overlords. I was banned for “inciting violence.”

Who knew that encouraging people to stand up for what they believe in was such a radical concept?

My country is about to strap a guy to a chair and have 3 government employees fire a gun at him. And that’s fine.

Assuming this is America, that guy requested for that to happen because it’s a less excruciating death than the other chair.

But here’s why it’s still an issue: being shot should not be the most humane option we give someone lmfao

There has been serious doubt that painkillers in lethal injection were enough to work. But the death penalty should be off the table since so many are wrongly convinced, unless the convicted requests it as the more humane option, because prison is currently retributive and cruel, rather than rehabilitative and humane.
