Perhaps I’m too old or out of touch, but why does any of this matter at all? People don’t have to listen to Taylor Swift if they don’t want to. We aren’t limited to radio anymore.

She could have done exactly what they accuse her of. I just don’t see why it matters.

I mean, yeah, that’s a good way of looking at it.
Alternatively we could hit all celebrities with shitty sticks until they all fuck off.

    Billionaires gonna billionaire.

She should have just retired but continues to suck all the oxygen out of the room making it difficult or impossible for new artists. Just to make another million.

Sheesh. It’s a good song, but it’s not the only thing out there. I like the new Taylor Swift album. I’ve also been listening to an all girl hard rock band from Mexico, a faerie pop singer from Norway, and a bunch of rock music from Japan, including an electronic band that also sings English and Thai.

Taylor Swift is good and deserves the accolades, but there’s so much more out there. I can’t imagine just listening to one person or one kind of music or people from just one country. Maybe when I was a kid.

Are you talking about The Warning?! I just found out about them recently. I listen to a lot of different types of stuff but go through weird phases just listen to the same types of bands/artists for months. Right now, it’s Mastodon and a few other rock/metal bands.

Taylor is definitely talented but I’ve never been super into her music.

Yep! I’m not sure if I like them as much as the others, but I heard about The Warning after Def Leppard took up for them when some of their older fans criticised them on their tour. I was curious about them, and I like their newest album. I don’t love it, and it hasn’t grown on me like some others have, but I’m willing to give it a couple more spins to see if it’ll stick.

I never thought I’d get into a Taylor Swift album. I liked Teardrops on My Guitar and Our Song back in the day. When she was a kid (teenager) making wholesome country music. I missed most of her career between now and then, though I did like Blank Space. When the Showgirl album came out last year, I listened to it and found myself liking every song. I listened to her previous album and it didn’t hit with me.
